Sheppard – Geronimo – SC Testo e Traduzione
Pubblicato il 28 febbraio 2014, Geronimo è il secondo singolo degli Sheppard, una band formatasi a Brisbane nel 2009, originariamente composta da Amy e George Sheppard, ai quali nell’aprile 2011 si è aggiunto Jay Bovino.
Il brano è inserito nell’album Bombs Away, disco di debutto della band pubblicato l’11 luglio 2014.
Il titolo della canzone è un riferimento al famoso condottiero e capo Apache Geronimo e all’abitudine di urlare il suo nome prima di compiere un atto coraggioso, come nella canzone potrebbe essere quello di lanciarsi nella cascata.
Sembra che i primi ad utilizzarlo siano stati i paracadutisti di Fort Benning, che nel 1940, la notte prima del loro primo lancio, videro un film su Geronimo, e cominciarono a gridare il suo nome durante i lanci.
